Buggy for TWO
To be honest, I feel a little bit ridiculous. I can barely contain my excitement and it’s TOALLY lame.
Here’s a bit of context… I am an avid fan of the Babyzen Yoyo and have sworn by it for ages. Then, I became a mother of two…. I tried to get life to continue and drag my elder along (by foot, or on the buggy board). The issue is that if you are using the babyzen yoyo with a buggy board you have to walk to the side… instead of directly behind it…. I was marching on, saying it was only temporary. It was starting to drive me a bit mad and hurting my body.
The babyzen is absolutely brilliant… if your using it with one child. Or just taking it on a trip for two… it folds in half, it doest take up much room and its pretty brilliant (plus goes overhead on a flight)
Then I spotted (via social media), the Quinny Hubb with the hop on board. It was love at first sight. I knew this was the one for our family.
Instead of a buggy board, it has a wooden board/ seat with handles. I knew Max would be willing to sit in it and still feel independent and grown up. Molly has the front seat and I can walk easily in a straight line behind them both.
It works well on and off road (unlike the yoyo where the wheels are a little small). It has huge great wheels… (ok its sort of like a tractor) but it feels so much more comfortable transporting them both. It also has an enormous shopping basket underneath where you can throw a mass of tuff in and a convenient and more secure pocket near the back. It is a game changer.
The only thing i dont like is that it takes up a fair amount of space in the house as its a faff to collapse it… but its worth it as I like being out more than in when it comes to the kids.
I was lucky enough to pick this one up brand new via eBay (I think the lady selling it had been gifted it as her kid was a model and she didn’t need it)… otherwise Im not sure I could have got my hubby to agree to buying a new buggy outright. I always say turn to gumtree/ eBay/ facebook market place first, as you just never know. I managed to pick it up for less than half price so I am pretty over the moon (£325)… with spare wheels and all the essentials… excluding a coffee cup holder (which is quite clearly an essential).
Plus… dont tell my hubby this… but this buggy can fit two seats in at once/ or one seat and bassinet… so maybe we should have another baby after all!

MummaPod give is a thumbs up!
Now… do I sell the babyZen… is there really a need for two buggies?
