Motherhood & career coaching
Motherhood & Career coaching will help you explore how your existing role in your career sits alongside your new permanent role as a mumma. Your priorities, purpose and your sense of identity may have shifted with having your child(ren) and this can be the cause of confusion about what’s right for you as an individual and also as a mumma and provider for your family.
This is an invitation to take the first step and create some space - Step away from the eternal juggle to reflect on who you really are besides the mother, partner, wife, friend, daughter, sister, boss, colleague… It’s an opportunity to work out why you do what you do and think the things you think; to establish what matters most to you and to take decisions that come from a place of deep understanding.
Through the process you will write the next chapter of your life as you want it to be, free from the opinions of others and limiting beliefs that might have previously held you back. Whether it’s full-time motherhood, returning to your previous career or starting a new one, my coaching will help you quieten the internal and external chatter, connect to your intuition and unearth what feels right for you and your family. We will build on the courage that it takes to begin your coaching journey and use this to manifest a plan to bring about the changes that you want.
If you’re feeling stuck, unfulfilled, guilty, overwhelmed or any combination of these please get in touch and let’s explore where your story could go from here.
Coaching is offered 1:1 via skype or on a walk in Richmond Park. The walking option introduces movement in nature which brings another dimension to the process of creating physical and mental space. We offer an initial 35 minute consultation with Mumma Thrive, free of charge, so you can ask questions and get to know each other to see if she is the right coach for you.
Mumma Thrive is also a qualified yoga teacher and can incorporate 1:1 yoga into your sessions as a way to connect mind, body and breath and prepare for the coaching. If this appeals feel free to discuss it during your initial consultation. Coaching isn’t a quick fix, it benefits from time and periods of reflection between sessions. We offer two package options:
6 x 1 hour session - £450
(over two months)
10 x 1 hour session - £640
Over two / three months
Option to incorporate 1:1 yoga at the start of each coaching session: £35 for 30 minites

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What will a coaching session be like?
The co-active nature of my coaching means that we are working in partnership to approach the areas that you’d like to explore. I will be asking questions and together we will reflect on your responses. I believe you hold all the answers you are looking for, it’s simply a case of creating an environment where you feel comfortable to be open and honest, and committing time and energy to unearthing them. Therefore I won’t give you any answers or tell you what to do, although I may occasionally challenge your thinking and dig underneath excuses to get to the bottom of what’s really going on. You will never be forced to make any decisions you don't feel comfortable with and all sessions will be confidential, allowing you to explore your thoughts and feelings privately in a safe space. This being said, part of the role of a professional coach is to offer feedback to help you stay focused on your goals and to hold you accountable to what you’re hoping to achieve. I may set you short tasks and objectives to work on outside of sessions and I will revisit these during the subsequent session to see how you got on.
How do I know if motherhood and career coaching is right for me?
If you can answer ‘yes’ to any of the following questions then our coaching can support you:
Do you feel stuck, or like you have too many or too few choices since becoming a mumma?
Do you feel torn by the conflicting demands of motherhood and your career?
Do you feel guilty most days?
Do you want to feel like you’re thriving both at home and at work?
Do you want to do something that you’re passionate about while still allowing time to be with your family?
Do you want more control of your time, allowing for more flexibility and freedom?
Do you feel you’re lacking the confidence, skills or resources to do what you want to do?
Coaching is expensive, will it be worth it?
Coaching is an incredibly brave and courageous thing to undertake - It’s an admission that everything isn’t ‘fine’ or that perhaps ‘fine’ is no longer good enough and that you want more - That you want to feel differently, mother differently, live differently - It’s recognition that you want to change your story on some level, or many levels. And that is ok. That means that you’re in the right place and that coaching can help. It’s not a quick fix and it will require hard-work and almost certainly some hard conversations, but the wonderful thing is that through the process you will learn so much about yourself, make decisions and take actions that will shape not just tomorrow or next week but the rest of your life to come.
Will you help me find a new career?
My coaching is not going to match your skills and personality with a list of possible careers. Instead, it will help you unearth your passions, leverage the value you bring to the workplace and design a rhythm of life that allows you to step away when you’re needed at your other job of being mumma. For some, this may result in a career change or a shift in how you arrange your week. We will work through the possibilities together.
