MummaPod have partnered with the AMAZING Sally (aka Mumma Fit) who is a fully qualified Personal Trainer helping women in and around Richmond, Twickenham and Teddington to become fitter, stronger, happier and more confident with their bodies through pregnancy, early-motherhood and beyond.
These Personal Training programmes are uniquely tailored and will make you feel great in your postnatal body. In the post-natal period it is vital to take the time to restore and strengthen your body carefully rather than rush back to pre pregnancy exercise routines which can cause damage to your body.
Your first session includes a full body postnatal assessment:
Check for any Diastasis Recti (ab separation)
Assess your posture/body alignment
Review your birth and recovery so far
Discuss pelvic floor and pelvic organ prolapse issues
Determine any other postnatal aches and pains
With a new baby to care for, your time is precious so Mumma Fit will come directly to your home with all necessary equipment, allowing you to work out in private and at a time that suits you and your baby’s routine.
6 postnatal 121 training sessions -£288
A 6 session programme will help you restore and build the the body's foundations for further exercise by focussing on core and pelvic floor restoration work by using breathing techniques, the mobilisation of tight muscles and strengthening the ones weakened by pregnancy.
10 postnatal 121 training sessions -£470
12 postnatal 121 training sessions - £540
With a 10 or 12 session programme you can build on these foundations and add in more challenging strength and cardio work as you progress. This is ideal if you have more complex postnatal needs and require more support to get you where you want to be, or know that you need that extra help and motivation in the postnatal period.
Availability & booking:
Postnatal programmes are only suitable once you have had your 6/8 week GP check up or 10 weeks post Caesarian section.
The whole idea of 121 personal training is that it fits around you and your baby so sessions are available Mon-Sat at a time that suits you!
121 personal training with Mumma Fit ensures a safe return to exercise with the foundations of core and pelvic floor are restored first before introducing more strength and cardio work. This helps you feel strong & confident in your postnatal body and eases common postnatal issues such as back pain, helping with weight loss and boosting your emotional wellbeing. Mumma MAC says that working With Mumma Fit personally seriously helped with her mental state post birth and really kept her upbeat following sleepless nights.
Can I train with my baby there?
Yes, of course that is the whole idea! Your baby can be napping, watching you workout in the bouncer or having a cuddle with Mumma Fit. You work around the baby, so you are able to attend to their needs whenever required.
What if my babies cries during the session?
This obviously does happen occasionally (!) but you can comfort your baby at any point and we normally manage to get a good session in! On rare occasions, when baby is not playing ball then we may cut the session short and add the time onto another session when baby is more settled.
What space do I need?
We need to be able to put down an exercise mat and have a little room to work around it so living room normally works fine. Weather permitting we can use any garden you might have or if you prefer a local park is always an option too.
