“
We absolutely loved our experience with Mary-Anne. It was a truly life-changing experience and I believe everyone who does her course will feel the same. As someone who likes to be in control I had a lot of anxiety around the birthing process, but after Mary-Anne’s course we felt prepared, informed and, most importantly, relaxed about what lay ahead. Fast forward a few months and thanks to the guidance we received we had the most beautiful birth experience. Thanks so much for such a wonderful, positive experience! Everyone should do this course!”
Availability & Booking
We recommend that couples attend the course anytime from their 20th week of pregnancy. The earlier that you start, the longer you have to practice the all-important techniques of hypnobirthing, and practice is the real secret to a a successful hypnobirth. Should you be more than 38 weeks pregnant, we are able to adapt and try and fit as much of the course into a one or two day fully intensive course.
Benefits of Hypnobirthing
You are likely to experience a more comfortable and sometimes, pain free birth;
Your baby will arrive to a tranquill and relaxed environment, alert and ready to bond with you as nature has intended;
The length of labour is sometimes much shorter with Hypnobirthing births;
Less drugs and medical intervention are used in Hypnobirthing births allowing your baby to develop naturally and easily after they arrive;
Mothers often bounce back quicker after a Hypnobirthing birth as the physical impact of giving birth is reduced; and
Your birth partner will learn how to support you and have a central and active role in the birth

Why Choose a Hypnobirthing CouRse?
The results speak for themselves; mothers and fathers, hospitals and midwives are all raving about hypnobirthing. We invite you to read Hypnobirthing testimonials and birth stories. These happy clients are the true testament to how well Hypnobirthing works.
Is Hypnobirthing only for home births or water births?
Certainly not! Hypnobirthing is for all women whether they choose to give birth in a hospital, a birth centre, a midwifery led unit or at home. Some hypnobirthing mummas do choose to have water or home births, because they have decided that this is the best choice for them, whereas many other mommas believe that a hospital or birth centre is best for them and their baby.
Does Hypnobirthing guarantee a pain free labour and birth?
Quite a few Hypnobirthing mummas say that they felt no “pain” during their labours and births, instead, they describe feelings of pressure or intense sensations. That said, we cannot guarantee a pain free labour and birth, as pain is subjective. A study conducted in the USA found that over 70% of Hypnobirthing women used no pain relief at all during labour and birth and 20% used mild pain relief (e.g. gas & air).
My partner is sceptical about Hypnobirthing?
This is because of the less than wise name that we give this birth education… “Hypnobirthing,”… it sounds like it’s only for hippies, whereas it’s actually totally practical. There are facts and simple tools that allow both of you to get the most out of your birth. Typically, the partner is usually one of the most passionate advocates of Hypnobirthing on completion of the course.
Is Hypnobirthing suitable for me, as a first time mumma?
Hypnobirthing is relevant for all births. Should this be your first experience of hypnobirthing, you are extremely luckily as you’ll benefit the advantages of Hypnobirthing from the start! Many Mummas discover Hypnobirthing during their second or third pregnancy, usually after a previously traumatic and painful birth and they are always extremely grateful for brining hypnobirthing into their lives and wish they had discovered it sooner.
is hypnobirthing relevant for a C-Section?
If you are a low risk pregnancy and attending a Hypnobirthing course, you are unlikely to need a caesarian birth. However, if you are planning one/ have an emergency one, Hypnobirthing will definitely still be beneficial for you. Part of the course is dedicated to caesarian birth (all avenues are covered… it’s a FULL BIRTH EDUCATION).
Does my partner need to learn about Hypnobirthing too?
It isn't essential but it is advisable and they will be happy they did. Typically, partners can be nervous about the birth, and hypnobirthing gives them a specific and clear role that will help with their nerves too. We haven’t had a partner that hasn’t been delighted in joining the course. The course has allowed him/her to be a her asset at the birth and many mammas say they couldn’t have done it without him/her. That said, you are still welcome to come alone and it will still be hugely beneficial.
